In May of 2004 I bought my first Road bike.  I started training.  I experienced the feel of the road and enjoyment of seeing the areas around my home in Schertz, Texas.  I started entering rides in the local area.  The list is below.

Oct 2004 - Lance Armstrong's Ride for the Roses (Austin, Texas) ~ 100 Miles/7.5 hours

Nov 2004 - Tour de Gruene (New Braunfels, Texas) ~ 36 Miles 

Dec 2004 - Mission to Mission/Meals on Wheels Tour (San Antonio, Texas) ~ 34 Miles

May 2005 - Shiner Bash Ride (Santa Clara to Shiner, Texas) ~ 90 Miles /5.5 hours

Oct 2005 - Bike to the Beach (San Antonio to Corpus Christi, Texas) ~ Day 1/90 Miles-Day 2/60 Miles

Oct 2005 - Lance Armstrong's Ride for the Roses (Austin, Texas) ~ 100 Miles/5:57 hours

In 2006 I moved to Italy.  Here in Italy, the weather is warming up here and everyone is getting out on their bikes.  Weather is for exercise, for going to the market or teenagers just hanging with their friends, bikes are everywhere.
